Project 1


WEEK 3


This week in Premiere Pro we had to do a sound dubbing exercise, in class in groups we created a spreadsheet to make the process easier and at home I recorded my own voice and found sound effects online exported into the sequence adjusted the semi tones in my voice and volumes off all the sound effects.
WEEK 4
This week I reorganized the dialogue and sound effects so that each character had a time line and sound effects had 2. I also added, edited and changed some sound effects.

Exported the video and uploaded it in the Google Drive.


WEEK 5
Due to an issue mid semester i lost the original file to the other part of this task but in Adobe Audition I  learned the required sound effects. to make all needed audios and a  uploaded them into the google drive.

EXERCISE 1

For exercise 1 we  had to record a video in the studio as group work after recording the video as groupwork we had to continue as solo work that was to edit the video we filmed
When editing I needed to trim and organize all the clips, color correct, color grade and finally add sound effects and a background track.. 
Unfortunately I lost all all my progress shots and the original file for this task due to an incident mid semester but i still have the final edit uploaded into my google drive.


EXERCISE 2


Above is the proposal file i created to start  Exercise 2. Due to the event i lost all the original footage/work progress and had to start the assignment from scratch so i rerecorded everything but due to the weather i had very under exposed footage but tried to improve it as much as i could in post as i had limited time.

 After editing the footage i uploaded the final video into google drive.

I liked this stop motion for two reasons:

  • The style it felt very human because of the imperfections such as finger prints in the clay and other little inconsistencies.
  • The unsuspected plot twist, i found it very funny.

I likes this stop motion because:
  • It was made at home and can be made by anyone.
  • The movement was very fluid.
  • It added things in post production such as webs and sound effects to animate it.

I liked this stop motion because:
  • It was made with foil something easy to obtain.
  • It had a story.
  • It had several kind of shots and angles.
Preferred medium: item such as clay or foil that has can be molded to anything
Solo project

Final Project Proposal.




After creating the proposal i stared creating my set up to begin shooting by cutting open a large shopping bag  and adding white A3 sized paper to make an at home light box.

To begin making the stop motion i created a static scene including a playdoh leaking pipe and house.
Using my mirrorless camera on a tripod i began taking each frame using playdoh to make and move my characters.


To edit the stop motion i began with color correcting  and lighting correcting my images by creating a scene using all my frames.
After color and light correction i proceeded to use ai features to stabilize my footage as my tripod shifted a few times during the video.
The final step was to add some captions, sound effects and my chosen background audio.

I then exported the final result and uploaded all the required files into the google drive.


REFLECTION

Experience: My overall experience of this module has been great regardless of all issue i faced as i had been given and found all i needed to complete all my assignments. I learned many thing from editing sound, to editing videos, to recording videos and creating stop motions. It was a very step by step journey as the module was well design teaching you all the basics and more. It opened my eyes and mind too a new interest in my future as i already had a love for photography.

Observations: I observed many things doing this module such as the importance of each step when editing a video, backing up all my files on the cloud, needing a stable tripod, the importance of lighting when recording and not to rely on post as it is harder to get a better result. I hope in the future i continue to improve.

Findings: I found out many things doing this module such as framing, filming, editing, stop motion, audio dubbing and audio shaping.
