About Final:

This final artwork is supposed to represent my overall idea of the original artwork to show how man can be like a machine. From moving around like a machine, to working like a machine, to recharging. The circles in the center are supposed to represent a clock to prove the way we are most alike, a schedule. Man work on a schedule like machine.

In Fig 3.1 using white for the man I created emphasis on the man like figures, the use of the extracted cell pattern to create unity and contrast between mechanical features of the clock and organic features of the cells. The clock hand and figures also show movement. I also used different shading methods to create more contrast and depth.

REFLECTION

Experience

Task 1: This task brough me to the basics of identifying the design principles behind designs and knowing the importance and meaning behind those principles.

Task 2: Overall in this task it was a good experience and I learned  lot of observing, analyzing and understanding art pieces which leaded to being able to create prototypes that can change the compositions while keeping the overall ideas in the form of my sketches.

Task 3: This was the most interesting part of this module after obtaining information, observing art work, experimenting and ideating u can finally apply everything to the final idea.

Observations

Task 1: I observed how these principles are important in improving a design, how some designs show principles more than others.

Task 2: I observed my chosen artwork and visual references to further understand design principles and why they exist.

Task 3: Application is very important making sure the final piece has design principles, meaning and good composition.

Findings

Task 1: I found out the importance of considering design principles when creating a design, how identifying design principles might help me understand a design better and overall many designs have layers.

Task 2: I found out a lot about brainstorming, observing, creating concepts, problem solving and meeting deadlines.

Task 3: I found out the importance of having meaning to your art as it goes hand in hand with design principles, I found out the importance of exploring even if they are not in the final idea and most important all design ideas need a reason.
